LIVE ART ZINE is an art scene that opened in Nørrebro in 2025 and offers live encounters between artists and a local audience of all ages. ZINE is run by Live Art Danmark, which has presented and produced live art in Denmark and internationally since 2004.
Since 2004, we have also worked with documentation and mediation as an art form. At LIVE ART ZINE, this takes the form of a printed programme that is distributed by hand locally at the start of each new season. The programme’s pages are created by the artists you can experience with us during that same quarter.
About the format:“Live Art” is a conceptual and contextual artistic tradition. It is an investigation of the world, life, and society, in which the artist asks: Why is (...) the way it is? Could it be otherwise?
The answer is often an experiment or an unusual format — such as a game, a meal, or a shop. Typically, the artist’s own life is a visible and personal focal point of the investigation.
